Back in Black!

According to Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports, the Padres are on the verge of extending Manager Buddy Black’s contract.

The more I watch Buddy as a manager, the more I like him. I’m not doing cartwheels about this, but I am pleased. We could do a lot worse.

I’m happy about this move. Glad to see that Bud won’t lose his job over this season and last season. He’s really been dealt a tough hand here, with injuries to his top 3 members of his rotation.
